Withdrew over 40,000 hryvnias from a stolen card: investigators in Nikopol have charged the suspect.

The press service of the Main Department of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk region reported this.

Investigators have determined that a 33-year-old man, who lives in the same house as the victim, is involved in the crime.

After stealing her phone, the suspect used a payment service to top up his girlfriend's mobile phone with 3,500 hryvnias. He then changed the PIN code on the stolen card and withdrew all of the woman's savings through several transactions.

On November 11, the offender was informed of his suspicion under Article 357 (appropriation of official documents committed for selfish motives), Article 361 (unauthorized interference with the operation of information (automated), electronic communication systems), and part 4 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
