A 33-year-old man from Kamianske was arrested for shooting an acquaintance with a shotgun.

Due to a grievance against the victim, the suspect retrieved a smoothbore shotgun from his home and fired at a 26-year-old man. The victim succumbed to his injuries.

The crime occurred on November 10 in one of the villages of the Kamianske district. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Police established that a conflict arose between the men the previous evening. Angered by his acquaintance, the suspect went home and took a shotgun for which he had no legal permits. Upon returning, he saw his rival on the street and shot at him. The victim sustained a fatal injury, and the assailant fled the scene of the crime.

The offender was apprehended under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. He has currently been informed of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense as stipulated in part 1 of Article 115 (intentional murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
