Police in Dnipro have apprehended a 39-year-old suspect in connection with a shooting that occurred on the street. Details to follow.

The press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk region reported this.

On January 28, the police received a report about an unknown individual engaging in hooligan behavior on Slovianska Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a man had approached the municipal workers conducting repair work from a nearby building and began to confront them. Initially, the local resident used offensive language towards the water supply workers, threatened them with physical harm, and then opened fire.

The law enforcement officials conducted a search of the shooter's home and seized a modified handgun, ammunition, and an air rifle.

On January 29, the suspect was notified of charges under Part 4 of Article 296 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
