The press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk region reported this.
A prisoner organized the supply of psychotropic substances from Egypt to Ukraine, resumed methamphetamine production in Kryvyi Rih, and involved 11 more criminals "from the outside" in his operation.
Police determined that over the course of a year, the leader of the local drug mafia earned nearly one million dollars. Part of the funds was laundered through the purchase of 44 vehicles, and he set up his own taxi service, while the remainder was directed towards the development of his drug business.
As a result of a large-scale operational investigation, police arrested 12 organizers and participants of the criminal organization, conducted 122 simultaneous searches, which led to the dismantling of three drug laboratories. Additionally, they seized nearly 250 kilograms of drugs valued at over 98 million hryvnias at black market prices, a "crypto farm," weapons, 65 vehicles worth more than 1 million dollars, and over 3 million hryvnias in various currencies.
Currently, investigators have completed the pre-trial investigation against all individuals involved, and the indictment has been sent to court. The criminals face up to twelve years of imprisonment with asset confiscation.
