Police in Dnipro have apprehended two men connected to the explosion in the Novokodatsky district.

The offenders turned out to be two residents of the city of Synelnykove, aged 21 and 27. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Law enforcement officers conducted a series of searches at the suspects’ residences, during which they seized mobile phones, a car – which the detainees used to arrive at the crime scene, personal belongings, and other physical evidence. Additionally, the police confiscated a glass jar, cardboard boxes, plastic containers, and zip-lock bags containing a plant-based substance, as well as ammunition and knives.

Currently, both men have been notified of their suspicion under Part 2 of Article 28 and Part 2 of Article 194 (intentional destruction or damage to property) and Part 1 of Article 263 (illegal handling of weapons, military supplies, or explosive materials) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Furthermore, a criminal proceeding has been initiated under Article 309 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
