Police in Dnipro seized a batch of psychotropic substances worth half a million hryvnias from a 19-year-old young man.

The individual was apprehended on the street, where authorities discovered a package and wraps containing over 600 grams of a psychoactive substance. Subsequently, during a search of the detainee's residence, police seized an additional 70 grams of the drug, electronic scales, and other pieces of evidence. The estimated street value of the confiscated items exceeds 500,000 hryvnias.

The drug activities of the suspect were documented by the staff of the Department for Combating Drug Crimes of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region, in collaboration with the employees of the Dnipro District Police Department No. 1.

The psychotropic substances seized were sent for expert examination by law enforcement. The young man was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

On December 5, investigators informed the city resident of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 3 of Article 307 (illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, mailing, or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, or their analogs) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The detained individual faces up to 12 years in prison. Pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
