Doctors in Dnipropetrovsk have set up a scheme to evade military service, charging between $5,000 and $7,000 for assistance in avoiding mobilization.

Medical professionals were creating fake disability certificates for conscripts to remove them from military records. As a result, these individuals could leave the country without any obstacles.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Department of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

The police established that the suspects held positions as family and specialized doctors at one of the district hospitals in the Kamianske region and at the regional hospital. For $5,000 to $7,000, they promised to influence the decisions of the medical and social expert commission to obtain a conclusion on the establishment of a disability group, which provided grounds for evading military service.

Currently, three suspects have been notified of suspicion under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

Part 2 of Article 28, Part 3 of Article 369-2 (abuse of influence committed by a group of persons in collusion)
Part 3 of Article 332 (illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine)
Part 3 of Article 354 (bribery of an employee of an enterprise, institution, or organization).
