A man is set to stand trial in Kherson for his involvement in illegal elections. This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, as conveyed by UNN.

The prosecutors of Kherson region and Skadovsk district have submitted an indictment to the court against a local resident who voluntarily became a member of an unlawful authority.
The investigation revealed that in September 2023, the man participated in the illegal elections for the "council of deputies of the Skadovsk municipal district" from the political party "United Russia." Following the conclusion of the "elections," he received a "mandate of deputy of the I convocation."
In November 2023, the accused submitted his candidacy for the position of "head of the Skadovsk municipal district." In this capacity, he approved the composition of the personnel commission, the rules for improvement, as well as regulations concerning the creation, reorganization, or liquidation of enterprises and the distribution of revenues to the "budget."
