In Zaporizhzhia, two individuals involved in a draft evasion scheme will face trial. Here are the details.
According to the investigation, the current and former medical staff of a hospital in Zaporizhzhia were involved in a criminal scheme that facilitated the issuance of certificates declaring individuals unfit for military service.

According to the developed plan, the suspect facilitated fictitious hospitalizations for men of conscription age in the department where he worked, obtaining a "correct diagnosis" to establish their unfitness for military service.
The responsibility for finding draft evaders and obtaining illegal benefits from them was carried out by his accomplice. The woman was apprehended in August 2024 while receiving another bribe.
Thus, an indictment against the doctor and the former medical staff member of the institution has been submitted to the court for the fact of receiving illegal benefits (Part 1 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
