Law enforcement in Zaporizhzhia has gathered evidence of collaboration activities involving two residents of the Melitopol district.

After the occupation of part of the Zaporizhzhia region, two traitors, aged 25 and 48, supported the Russian invaders. They assisted the occupiers by urging local residents to participate in a sham referendum.
Правоохранительные органы Запорожья собрали доказательства коллаборационной деятельности двух жительниц Мелитопольского района.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Police have established that in the autumn of 2022, two residents of the temporarily occupied Botiyevo, located in the Melitopol region, participated in the organization and conduct of illegal voting regarding the exit of the Zaporizhzhia region from Ukraine and its annexation to the Russian Federation. As members of the "district electoral commission," the women actively engaged in hostile propaganda and encouraged the local population to take part in the sham survey.

Furthermore, one of the traitors, as part of a dance group, toured Crimea for a festival of "representatives of national cultural societies," organized by the occupiers. The other justified the actions of the aggressor country and, by joining the youth organization "South of Young," promoted the "Russian world."

Currently, the individuals in question have been notified in absentia of suspicion of committing a crime under Part 2 of Article 28 and Part 5 of Article 111-1 (Collaboration Activities) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. For their actions, they face imprisonment for a term of 5 to 10 years.
