A 34-year-old assailant was apprehended by Kryvyi Rih police for assaulting an elderly woman in the street.
On January 18, the police received a report from a staff member of a medical facility about a 77-year-old woman who had been brought in with injuries. Officers from the 4th police station of the Kryvyi Rih District Department discovered that a man had assaulted the local resident near a store in the Saksahanskyi district. The assailant was apprehended by law enforcement shortly after the incident occurred.

A man was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. On January 19, the investigator, in agreement with the Kryvyi Rih Central District Prosecutor's Office, informed him of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense as defined by Part 1 of Article 121 (intentional serious bodily harm) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
