A 52-year-old man was charged with theft by Kamyanske police, who have submitted the indictment to the court.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Police discovered that a 45-year-old man had lost his bank card equipped with contactless payment technology and failed to notify the bank about it.

A 52-year-old local resident took advantage of the situation. After finding the card on the street, he began to spend someone else's money. Since there was a spending limit on the card, the perpetrator withdrew cash gradually. In total, he spent 35,000 hryvnias from the victim's account.

In agreement with the Kamyanske District Prosecutor's Office, the man was informed of suspicion under Part 4 of Article 185 and Part 1 of Article 357 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
