The Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, stated that he "has no appetite" for continuing American support for Ukraine. This was reported by Punchbowl News, according to UNN.
"I have no appetite for further funding for Ukraine, and I hope there won't be a necessity for it," Johnson said. "If President (i.e., Donald) Trump wins, I believe he can truly put an end to this conflict."
In the speaker's view, he - Trump - would call Russian leader Vladimir Putin and "tell him that it's enough."
"I think everyone around the world is tired of this and wants it to be resolved," he added. "So whatever the conditions may be, I'm not sure, but I think if Kamala Harris becomes president,
I don't believe it will end, and that’s a desperate and dangerous scenario."
