In Dnipropetrovsk region, authorities uncovered an illegal factory producing ethyl alcohol.
It has been established that illegally manufactured products were pumped into a designated alcohol storage facility through an underground pipeline approximately 1 kilometer long. Subsequently, these products were sold throughout Ukraine.
Using specialized technological equipment, the suspects produced over 20 tons of alcohol daily.
During searches, detectives from the Bureau of Economic Security seized 113 tons of illegal excise goods and equipment from a comprehensive property complex that encompassed all stages of the alcohol manufacturing process.
An indictment has now been submitted to the court regarding the commission of criminal offenses as stipulated in part 2 of article 28, part 1 of article 204, part 2 of article 28, and part 2 of article 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal manufacture, storage, sale, or transportation for the purpose of selling excise goods).
